Tiếng Việt có những câu so sánh xấu, xấu hơn và xấu nhất. In English, họ dùng bad, worse và worst. Những từ này là tĩnh từ. Thí dụ:

Xe này xấu.
Xe nọ xấu hơn.
Nhưng xe kia xấu nhất.
This car is bad.
That car is worse.
But the other car is worst.

Jane là một học sinh dở.
Marry là học sinh dở hơn.
Và Elizabeth là học sinh dở nhất.
Jane is a bad student.
Marry is a worse student.
And, Elizabeth is the worst student.

Trong bài hướng dẫn dùng những tính từ "bad, worse, worst" để đặt câu; "bad" là tính từ không thể dùng để bổ nghĩa cho những động từ này:

6/ I plays tennis bad, but Ha plays tennis worse, and Tuan plays the worst.
